Terms of Service

Welcome to MisuVerse (the "Service", available at misuverse.com), operated by a private individual, Ville Linden ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users under 13 may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, and if you are under the age of majority in your country, the same applies.

2. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure.
You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate others.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User-generated content

The Service lets you create games, levels, and other content ("User Content").

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assign to us all rights, title, and interest — including all intellectual property rights — in the User Content you create using the Service. We may use, modify, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works from it for any purpose, without further consent or compensation.
Where such an assignment is not legally effective, you instead grant us a worldwide, exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use the User Content for any purpose.
To the extent permitted by Finnish copyright law, you waive any moral rights in your User Content. This does not affect any rights that cannot be waived under mandatory law.
You confirm you have all rights needed to create and submit the User Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. You remain responsible for the User Content you create or upload.
We may remove or restrict User Content that breaches these Terms or the law, at our discretion.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

upload illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexual, or harmful content;
harass, threaten, or abuse other users in multiplayer or chat;
cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate scores, leaderboards, or coins;
attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
use the Service to distribute malware or spam.

5. Misu coins (virtual currency)

Misu coins are a virtual in-game item with no monetary value. They are not money, not legal tender, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Coins are earned through gameplay and are personal to your account; they are not transferable outside the Service.
We may adjust, expire, or reset coin balances to keep the game fair or to fix errors and abuse.
Misu coins cannot currently be purchased with real money. If we ever introduce paid coins, we will update these Terms and provide the consumer information and rights required by law.

6. Our intellectual property

The MisuVerse platform, its code, branding, and built-in assets are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you rights to our trademarks or platform code beyond using the Service as intended.

7. Service provided "as is"

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will always be preserved.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, content, or coins. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including your mandatory rights as a consumer).

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where required by law.

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes to the Terms will be announced in the Service, and the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Finland; as a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
